Regan:

The Regan was built in Owen Sound by Russel Bros in 1942, for the Abitibi Pulp and Paper Co. She saw service in Lake Superior for several years, then moved to Iroquios Falls. She was sold to the Eddy Match Co in Ottawa and was busy towing log booms on the Ottawa River. Howard Avery purchased her in 1986 and began a complete refit. The pilot house is furnished in oak and brass, other features include a dishwasher, washer dryer and a corner fire place in the main salon. Her length 49ft, beam 14ft, draft 5ft, with a 250 hp diesel engine. Home Port Sault Ste Marie Ont. Capt Jeff Avery ran her in the 2005 tugfest high power event and put on a good show. Looking forward to seeing the Regan in 2006.
