Aboard Pentagoet:
Aboard PENTAGOET observing the final lab of one section of the tug-and-barge class. The eight students are all seniors, some headed toward jobs in tugs, others wanting to ship out, but all serious and capable. This class was the favorite of several of them - hands-on, real life stuff. The barge is the 230' Clean Water 21, which came from K-Sea and suits the little Pentagoet very well, says Capt. John Worth, instructor of the class and former co-owner of Maineport Towboats with Duke Tomlin.
