What is Tugfest?
Working and pleasure tugs from around the Great Lakes will be steaming into Penetanguishene in August 2008 for the 6th annual Georgian Bay Tugfest. Featured will be a Festival of Lights Parade, tugboat viewing, tugboat races, boat tours, and much more. Come and give the hard-working, underappreciated tugboat the kudos it deserves!

When will Tugfest 2008 take place?

How many tugboats participate?
In 2007 we had about 20 tugboats participating in the races and parades. We anticipate more this year.

Do I have to register?
If you have a tugboat and want to participate, you can register online. Registration will commence about 3 months prior to the event. If you are planning to visit Penetanguishene to see the event (from land or water) - you don't need to register - Just show up. Even if you aren't participating, you can signup anyway (click here) to receive up-to-date information about the event. Don't forget to check the schedule (the link at top) for the event times and descriptions.
