Baleen

Capt Joe Algrove has entered the Tug "Baleen" in our 2008 Georgian Bay Tugfest, Aug 22nd 23rd, in Penetanguishene. She has the traditional fish tug look. Capt Joe has turned the interior into a great live aboard. It's a joy to see. The Baleen has been to all of our Parry Sound Tugfest events, as well as the Owen Sound home coming in 2007. E. J. GROVES

Meet the E. J. GROVES, (Ex Gramdpa's Dream) I took these pictures of her  at Harrison's Marina in Carling. Capt Craig and crew have done a great job putting the (Groves Marine) colours on her. Capt Craig told me that if he can stay ahead of the work load, he will be at the 2008 Georgian Bay Tugfest in Penetanguishene. I hope he can make it, she looks good in her new colours.

Parade of Lights

One of the highlights of Tugfest is the parade of lights. Above are pictures from the Parry Sound event in 2005. As you can see, it is very impressive and the tug Captains go all out for this event. At our 2008 Georgian Bay Tugfest in Penetanguishene you will again get an opportunity to see this spectacular part of the festivities. This event will happen on Friday the 22nd  at dusk. Bring your camera with a lens that is good for night shots, you will not be diappointed.
