Tug Parry Sound

Capt Ted Cartledge will be attending the 2008 "Tugfest Georgian Bay" in Penetanguishene Aug 22nd 23rd. The "Parry Sound" is an X Coast Guard buoy tender that serviced Georgian Bay for many years. Ted has been restoring her keeping to her original upper deck works and colours. After several years in dry dock she was lauched again in 2007 and  attended the Parry Sound Tugfest in that year. Capt Ted has done a great job restoring this little workhorse.  You will enjoy seeing her at the open house tug tours.

Lady Marion

Capt John Glasgow will bring the Lady Marion to the 2008 Tugfest Georgian Bay in Penetanguishene. She is a pretty tug with a fun crew and will step up to the plate when challenged.

Originally built by Erieau Shipbuilding, Erieau, Ont. in 1945 as a fish tug. It was converted  by Dave Matthews of Matthews Marine in Port Dover.  Some work was done by Deiter Reichenbacher of Killbear Marine Parry Sound Ont. John Glasgow did the trim work and made her to her present state.

Grampa's Dream

It's  official, Grampa's Dream is now part of the Groves Fleet. Capt Groves has purchased her and will bring her up to scratch. This tug has been longing for a new owner for the last few of years. Maybe we will see her at the 2008 Penetanguishene Tugfest.   We'll keep our ears open for more news. She's a fine looking tug and would be a welcome site at our event. At this time I only have a picture with no info on size and power.  I will try and find this out and pass it on later.
