Water Highway:
The Mittellandkanal' is a system of artificial water ways, that connect the western part of Germany with the East. You can travel by boat from the river Rhien to the Havel, on to Berlin and the Baltic Sea. The system is so level that it only requires three locks for it's entire length. It also crosses the rivers Weser & Elbe, with a connection to the Elbe itself. This photo was taken on opening day, in the city of Madeberg, near berlin. Photo & artical by Hubert Latzel.

The Line Up:
Now that spring is here we are looking forward to another year of fun on the water. This photo taken at tugfest 2004 has always been a favourite with our group. It's a reminder of what we have to look forward to in tugfest 2006 on Aug 25 26th.
