Time lapse photography from Houston out to sea

It looks incredibly fast, but they were actually only making 5-6 knots with one frame every six seconds. This is a Panamax ship, 106 feet wide, and about 600 feet long with 32 feet of draft.

Panama Canal Upgrades Tugboat Fleet

Cheoy Lee Shipyards built the boats with an output capacity of 4,800 horse power and a bollard pull of more than 60 metric tons each. Five new tugs enhance operations; more to arrive in 2010. Read the complete article here: Panama Canal Authority
