The Seattle Maritime Festival with all it’s seafaring glory concluded yesterday with the tugboat races, a fireboat display, a chowder cook-off and wooden-boat building for kids. It looks incredibly fast, but they were actually only making 5-6 knots with one frame every six seconds. This is a Panamax ship, 106 feet wide, and about 600 feet long with 32 feet of draft.
