Only the second week in February and Parry Sound Sifto Salt dock has run out of salt. The last ship unloaded 14,000 tons in the middle of Dec, bringing the total tonnage on the dock to over 100,000 tons. All this has gone to the roads in the northern and eastern part of Ontario. The trucks will be making the long haul to Godrich for more salt as needed. At the moment we are in a warming trend, but expect more snow in the near future.
