Andrew Read took a lot of great pictures at the 2008 Tugfest in Penetanguishene. I will start by showing the pictures of the light parade being we are only one week from Christmas and this is the season for lights. Andrew sent us over 200 pictures so I will not have to go looking for [...]

AGAWA CANYON with more salt for the north. Sifto Salt would like to see another load on the dock before all the orders can be filled. The Canyon off-loaded 14,000 metric tons on this trip alone - December 10th.

The ALGOWAY unloading salt at the Sifto Salt dock in Parry Sound, Ontario. She came in on the 19th and departed this morning 20th after depositing 15,000 metric tons of salt. Penetanguishene is the home port of the Still Watch and Prescotont. They are both over 100ft long and very impressive. This picture is from the 2008 Tugfest event at their home port. As you can see the Prescotont is in the lead and the winner of the heat. The crowds just love both these vessels [...]
