More Salt for the North

AGAWA CANYON with more salt for the north. Sifto Salt would like to see another load on the dock before all the orders can be filled. The Canyon off-loaded 14,000 metric tons on this trip alone - December 10th.

Newcomer to the Event

Peter Everett of Owen Sound will enter this fine looking vessel in the 2009 Georgian Bay Tugfest. We will put her in the hobby class event and see what happens. More info on the “Fundy Gale” as we get it.

THE RUSH IS ON

The ALGOWAY unloading salt at the Sifto Salt dock in Parry Sound, Ontario. She came in on the 19th and departed this morning 20th after depositing 15,000 metric tons of salt. Penetanguishene is the home port of the Still Watch and Prescotont. They are both over 100ft long and very impressive. This picture is from the 2008 Tugfest event at their home port.
